Opened to the public in the spring of 2015, RavenHart Studio is the gallery space of local artist & photographer Larissa Sayer.
Born in Vancouver and raised on Salt Spring Island, Larissa has spent most of her life exploring the beautiful West Coast. She moved back to Salt Spring Island in the autumn of 2012 to realize her dream of opening her own artist space.
Her work illuminates the intricate and often overlooked small details of nature, ranging from the peaks and valleys of a blackberry to the spoke-design of an octopus sucker. Her landscapes are a study in the dramatic lighting and rugged landscape of the West Coast. She captures a quiet beauty and playfulness in many of her subjects.
